  • His name is Lawrence Cook, I don't know the name of his plane, but I have a photo of it. He was stationed at Poddington in November of 1943 and flew 3 missions in January 1944 and was shot down February 4, 1944. He survived 13 months in a German Prison camp and is now 93 years old. Sadly his memory is now gone but one of his crew member's daughters, Candy Kyler Brown, wrote a great account in a book "What I Never Told You"

  • Do you have a date this video was taken? My dad was a B17 Pilot who flew out of Poddington and I'm sure the man at the one minute mark is him.

    Thanks

  • The Control tower still stands today and has been converted into a very nice home
