Day and Night in Different Parts of the World

Day and night in different parts of the world showing the city lights at night. Also has moving clouds!

This video was rendered by my ray tracer I programed for one of my classes. The moving clouds were created using some textures I made (see my other youtube video "Earth Textures" for more details).

Must have been a static image that you just animated? I mean all the clouds are moving in one direction :D

I rendered this using my own ray-tracer I programmed for one of my classes. The textures are created using three images of the earth from NASA. One of the daytime, one of the nighttime and one of just the clouds. I then blended the three textures using a different program that I wrote. You can see how they are blended in my "Earth Textures" Video.
