I think it was disrespectful to make a movie about the man and then name the movie "Bugsy". He hated to be call that.

Decent movie but like most biopics, strays wildly from the truth. And IMO, Beatty was too old to play Siegel.

@cologey it wasn't even bugsy's idea to open a casino in vegas---it was somebody else's, who ran out of money....bugsy simply took over the construction of the casino when the money ran out.

when this movie was origonally released, there was at least one article of how bugsy siegal invented vegas is pure myth, with the truth about the origonal, and forgotten, builder of the casino siegal got credit for.

@saint0470 warren beatty was terrible choice to play bugsy---especially since beatty older than when the real bugsy died.

harvey keitel was the best bugsy----that's why he's in this movie, cause keitel played him in a tv movie ten (?) years prior.

@saint0470 Of course there is not a street named after him... he was a gangster! If that were to happen then it would only make sense to name streets after John Dillinger, Bonnie & Clyde, Babyface Nelson, Al Capone, Pretty Boy Floyd, and every other notorious gangster of the Depression era.
