Pgfisherman1 - FYI, according to the fishing & game rules in California, you can keep upto 2 cabezon to 10 rock cod per day. The size limit is 15" or bigger and the bag limit is 10. Know your fact before make a comment. You're absolutely wrong about this.

I hope that you realize that it was illegal that you kept 2 cabezon, and its unsportsman like for you to do so. Culling fish which i bet you had on the stringer isnt fair to the fish, you decide to keep one then thats it your done, end of story

I'm directly in front of the golf course, where the rusty pipe goes into the ocean. Walk across the pipe and fish on the right hand side of the big island. Look for dark green water.

Ha Ha, very funny...
Turns out Jack and John caught their own later on (6 more) and we ended up releasing the little one! We kept the 3 biggest.
It was the best Cabezon day ever, too bad my wife won't get a fishing license. We could have kept another one!
