i always thought it was "shitty" but it could be "chilly". i like shitty - but chilly works and seems to me like a "classic Ray Davies ear teaser" .. he has a knack for making you think you hear something you don't (check out Lola - he never confirms Lola is a tranvestite - even tho' everybody KNOWS that is what he singing about - or, check out Apeman - fogging up my eyes, sounds like f*cking up my eyes, etcetera...) i digress.
