  • You do realize that bjj is nothing more than Judo with a different emphasis, right ? Judo is distillation of those old jujutsu ryu-ha. The same goes for Sambo. It is more or less Judo with different emphasis.

  • BBJ is derived from Jujitsu... So the Brazillians have also done the same. Taken something and improved upon it then called it brazillian. The craze for everything brazillian has even made someone post about a brazillian kick which wasnt brazillian, it was just a round house kick...lol... Go figure.

A very dumb comment comming from a "brown belt"in BJJ. I train Hapkido and hold a black belt in the art and I started training BJJ a year ago. I have to say that BJJ is a wonderful art and a great complement for fullstriking arts who do not have much ground techniques like Hapkido, Taekwondo, etc.

Theres been great BJJ fighters that have defeated great Judo fighers and vice versa. All martial arts are great so do me a favor and express yourself like a true martial artist

  • @J4cKpOt7771 because youre clearly not biased or anything...

  • @ndnoakes1234 I completely understand where your coming from but I just came back from the FIRST EVER GONGKWON YUSUL Seminar in the United States, held in the only Gongkwon Yusul certified school "Dae Han Martial Arts" in Martinez, California yesterday and no, the moves in this art when executed will leave your other "free-hand" physically un-usable.

  • Just came back from the FIRST EVER GONGKWON YUSUL Seminar in the United States, held in the only Gongkwon Yusul certified school "Dae Han Martial Arts" in Martinez, California, and boy am I suprised to how deadly the throws, grappling, joint locks, and striking there in this art. And for all you ignorant fellas out there, this is NOT MMA. IT IS ALL TRADITIONAL KOREAN martial art moves.

  • Btw Brazil is over 60% of african/mixed ancestry. What difference or even if there is a kick with racial decent is at no odds to me. A kick is a kick no matter what part of the sphere it comes from. It will bloody hurt. Lol

  • I'm learning gong kwon and I got to say it's very affective in a number of situations like if you are fighting multipliable people or in a narrow ares you can use the Thai fighting portion of. If it is one on one you can use the locks to great affect. my instituter told me to punch him didnt say which hand or what kind of punch so I throw a left strait so he grads my arm in a similar manner as the grand master when he was mounted on the guy on the floor and brought it behind my head and made me

  • For all you morons who say judo is better than bjj or vice versa your all STUPID i am personally a brown belt in bjj out of american top team. For all you that say Kimura beat helio helio he was 90 pounds lighter than kimura thats like me taking Jon Jones at his best weight which is around 210 - 220 and me taking Frankie Edgar when hes at his best weight 150-157 and expecting frankie edgar to win. Which also why all great champion study bjj and wrestling NOT judo.

  • looks cool its like a mixture between kyokushin and judo

  • This is great, but can't but notice that a lot of techniques leave an arm or leg free for the 'victim' to use to attack with... I train with Grandmaster Keith Finch (2nd generation Jidokwan Taekwondo and Hapkido - 8th dan) in Crawley, UK - feel free to come and join us for training!!

Not being all negative and/or superior by the way so no hateful comments please :P
