I sold these things at Brookstone. It was REALLY annoying when someone left it in Guard mode without turning the thing off...scared the shit out of me when I had to clean up the store.

No he can't. But you can pose his arms manually if you just want him to hold something after you drop it in to his posed arms. However, he can't move his arms himself.
