@bhigdaddymark ELCA stands for Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It came into existence on January 1, 1988 when the Lutheran Church in America and the American Lutheran Church merged into one body.
@mkl62 I honestly don't know, hence the question: what's an ELCA? I've seen others use this abbreviation before, but I'm completely unaware as to what it stands for. Seriously.......
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (February 27), I played a hymn to this tune for Sunday School Assembly. It is O Jesus, King Most Wonderful. It is ascribed to Bernard of Clairvaux, 1091-1153, and translated by Edward Caswall, 1814-1878.
@mkl62 Ah, thank you!
