  • @Krzefil If you want a proper/more powerful SYNTHESIZER (rather than rompler with filters) then D-50 is far more interesting, sounds warmer and has PWM, Ring Mod and various other 'synthesis' items that are missing in the JD. If you prefer high/pristine sample style/rompler type sounds then JD is your man. D-50 will always be preferable to me as you can totally remove the dated PCM sounds (which is ALL the JD has) and go to a kind of early Virtual Analog engine. Warm and Unique!

  • What's better sounds JD800 or D50?

  • The JD800 is not that big, the sound is like an enhanced Roland D50, very clean and with presence, millions times than the JV line. The only big flop is that you can not sync the LFO or anything to MTC. Neither the faders transmit midi data. That puted the JD800 on a corner because even the Korg Wavestation that came up that same year had Midi sync.

  • GREAT PLAYING AND TEXTURES..

  • Really beautiful. The rippling effect reminds me of Queen's swamp music in the Flash Gordon film. How is it done? This piece would be good in a nature documantary about marine life.

  • Vangelis HAS one of these...

  • Wonderful, well done. I have one of these babies too. A true classic synth, much sort after, especially in the future. Why cant roland make , great synths all the time. The sound is so thick, and powerful. Thanks for sharing. I'll never sell mine. Gary Numan, J.M Jarre, Mike Oldfield, ect, Do I have to say more. Yes their still being used Live. LOL .

  • thank you for making yourself ridiculous.

  • lol, did my comment make a comparison?

It said that he would have spent less money...he would have spent even less if he bought a toaster.
