Land Rover Defender 110 200 Tdi Turbo Diesel COLD START

A very cold start of my Tdi powered 110. Ambient temperature was around minus 8*C.
This cold start was done WITHOUT glow plugs, as they're not even connected.
The Tdi is a great engine for cold starting with a dedicated cold start mechanism, which throws loads of fuel into the cylinders when you turn the key - this helps to kick the engine over and get it going.
This Tdi is a bit smokey from cold but after a minute or two it is very clean running.

@DefenderRocks Thanks, she is a tidy old beastie! She set me back £2,500, two years ago. But I have probably spent another £1.5k on her, upgrading and maintaining over the last couple of years.

@rolf230576 Yeah - we had about 18 inches here last week, but most of it melted. It's trouble for most traffic, but not for me ;)
