This is a review of the landmark novel by VIRGINIA RICH, which was possibly the original culinary mystery, enhancing the Nero Wolfe gourmand mystique.

Providing a bit of history...

Since my original written review on Amazon had been referenced in Wikipedia under the author's name, Virginia Rich, I had decided to add a video to my lengthy written review on Amazon, which literally synopsized the history, or at least the conception, of the culinary mystery genre. The first attempt of adding a video to my written review of COOKING SCHOOL MURDERS had isolated a horrendously funny still to represent the video, i.e., an Angry Ape Lady, me. That cartoon still gave me the impetus to redo that video, providing a look at the original book jacket of the original hardcover copy... and more.

The angry ape lady pick was appropriate in a sense, because I had given a huge frown, translating into an ape-like mug, when noting my disappointment in a collection of 14 votes of "NO" [2 votes of "Yes"] on that review.

The original video review is still available for viewing on my channel on YouTube, which was more generous in a pick of the still to represent the video, thank you!

You'ill have no trouble finding the still frame which was used in that now deleted review, replaced by this version.

The still picked for this new version of my Amazon review gives my mug the facade of a pruned out spinster. Ha! Maybe I've evolved a bit. Actually, I think apes are "cool"... to use a 60's phrase. And prune-faced spinsters, what would we do without them? I'm going to be a cartoon, one way or another, so I might as well use to expand my sense of humor... maybe it's beginning to work.

If you're curious to read the complete review, and/or to see it referenced via WIKIPEDIA, Google "VIRGINIA RICH"... and then go to the Wikipedia site entry on her name. You'll see a link to "Linda Shelnutt on Amazon" under the references used to compile the Wiki entry on Mrs. Rich. If you click on that link it will take you to the Amazon reviews on COOKING SCHOOL murders.

My written review was so long, in the new video editions, I cut it into three parts, with the second and third included as comments under the main review presented beside the video clip of the prune faced lady.

If you find the written review informative or interesting, please feel free to vote "YES"!

If you find it boring, yawn, get a good night's sleep.. after voting "YES" in thanks for a release from insomnia. Humor!
