Why would (and a Vtec engine at that) have issues with bent valves? The rev limiter is there for a reason, and im pretty sure that the guy doesnt drive about hitting the limiter all the time.

herp derp bending valves herp derp redline derp. Do you guys actually know anything? i would be more worried about bending/throwing a rod through the side of the block on a stock gsr than bending valves, the gsr head can take 9k, its the block that cannot handle it stock.

def not hatin, but just sayin if u don't got big power or wheel spin, then try to limit bumping redline. Hondas only redline bump if they are spinnin and still making power. So if your power is making it down to the pavement then shift before redline. i don't doubt you drove it for 5 years like that and still healthy. just sayin it would be healthier and last longer
