@noodlez707 this entire movie has a vast variety of different styles of kung fu. Because kung fu is so wide spread with moves and sub styles its hard to say exactly what it is. For the purpose of this scene however it seems they made it look some what like a dance on purpose to show the beauty of the music as well as an awesome fight scene.

I watched this movie as a kid, and even to this day, the Guzheng is my favorite instrument, and the "Deadly Melody" is the single most badass ability I've seen.

This movie is garbage in english. I have to watch it in cantanese with english subtitles to enjoy it. The english voices make me cringe :p.
