Why Become a Catholic? My Catholic Conversion Story prior to R.C.I.A.

This is basically explaining my reasons for my conversion from an evengelical Protestant to a Roman Catholic... Or atleast part of it R.C.I.A.=Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults hasn't started yet. It actually startes tomorrow.

1. This is My personal conversion story and I mean no dis-respect for Protestants or any other Christian sect, so DO NOT be offended.
2. I will not tolerate ANY negative comments bashing Catholicism: keep them to yourself (they will be removed), only possitive comments please
3. DO NOT tell me that Iam going to go to hell from my conversion: The Lord, My god and Savior Jesus Christ, is my only judge ... I do not need to hear what you think will happen to me.

@22grena Transubstantiation and the Eucharist are Catholic inventions and misinterpretations of Jesus words. He paid the price ONCE FOR ALL according to the book of Hebrews. You cannot continuously keep crucifying Him. Also, take Jesus off the crucifix as you show him in all your temples. He aleady paid the price and rose from the dead. He is not on that cross anymore. That is abhorrent.You said your church is Biblical yet 90% of Catholics know practically any Bible knowledge. Sad.

@22grena No sir, we have no Pope. We put our faith in Jesus alone. Not a Pope in Rome,nor in the Virgin Mary. I'm sure Mary herself looks down on you from heaven and says "STOP WORSHIPPING ME YOU PAGANS!! Worship Jesus alone!" And I am not a Protestant nor do I worship in a building. I am a Blood bought Bible believeing Christian who had a relationship with my LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. You people with your religious system and vatican rituals.You are anything but Biblical.

@DeliverTheWord1 Your problem and that of all protestants is you are all your own 'Popes' and not only interpret the Bible differently for each protestant denomination but also each church within the same denomination. Chaos. The Catholic Church is the most Biblical Christian Church.

@DeliverTheWord1 Yes the first Christians met in homes but Jesus established more than just a group of "believers." Look at the structure of the early Church and see it had Bishops, Presbyters (Priests), and Deacons. Why was that? Watch "Apostolic Authority and Pope are Biblical" on YouTube. If you are interested I can send you more things to listen to that will PROVE the Catholic Church is the fullness of Truth.

@Cherubaby You really should study more. The "church" reference in scripture is "Eklesia" and means the assembly. It has nothing to dowith the vatican or Popes but the gathering pf believers in Christ. Not a religious groupof any denomination. They met in homes in the first century not buildings. The catholic church as well as protestant churches today are mostly all empty useless tombs and religious organizations far from Christ. You need to learn the true meaning of "church."

@DeliverTheWord1 I am not a Sir but a female. I know Scripture very well. 1 Timothy 3:15 says the pillar and foundation of TRUTH is the CHURCH. The Bible we have today wasn't put together until around 380 AD. Who do you think taught the early Christians until then? Who do you think put all the manuscripts together that compose our Bible today? It is the Church that you REJECT! Logically, if you reject the Church that gave you the Bible, you should reject the Bible also. Make sense?

@DeliverTheWord1 No need to learn Biblical Greek. We have the CHURCH to explain everything to us, the Church that JESUS Himself founded, and He promised the Gates of Hell would never prevail against her. Is Jesus a Liar? By the way, I have never worshipped idols. Worship belongs to GOD alone.
