  • Why is criticizing the performance aspect of today's spoken word so popular nowadays? Does anybody even watch these videos for the content of the words? Carvens is one of the best writers of this time. He's one of the few writers who can structure an entire poem based on ONE metaphor, and tie every line into it. But so many people can't see past how, yes, shit like HBO has trained most of today's poets to sound the same.

It is quite ridiculous, but as we say in Chicago, "LISTEN TO THE POEM!!"

  • "so if men don't cry why is my eye socket pregnant with sorrow giving birth to tears down my face" wow deep this dude and a other guy have a poem titled switch look it up it's remarkable just type in bnv 2009 switch
