Wapakalypse was named after Wapakoneta, or commonly known as Wapak.. Their old merch guy is from Wapak.. and one time when him and Mike Hranica were outside, He said.. "It looks like a Wapakalypse out here!"

And Hranica was like, "DUDE THAT'S AWESOME, THAT'S A SONG TITLE ON THE NEXT ALBUM NOW!!! I AM FOR SERIOUS!!!"

And that is the story of how Wapakalypse was born, And yes that was a word for word quotation of what Mike Hranica said that day.

@evangrind Actually no I am not. The quotes are definitely a joke. But this is pretty much how it happened. Their Merch guy said "It Looks like a Wapakalypse out here" and Mike thought it would be a cool song title so he used it. There really is a city called Wapakoneta, and it is usually called Wapak for short, and that is where Paul their old merch guy is from and also where I went to school as well. So I am not trolling, that response from Mike was just a joke.
