Mina - Stars Fell On Alabama

We lived our little drama, we kissed in a field of white
And stars fell on Alabama last night
I can't forget the glamour, your eyes held a tender light
And stars fell on Alabama last night

I never planned in my imagination, a situation so heavenly
A fairy land where no one else could enter
And in the center, just you and me, dear
My heart beats like a hammer, my arms wound around you tight
And stars fell on Alabama last night

I never planned in my imagination, a situation so heavenly
A fairy land where no one else could enter
And in the center, just you and me, dear
My heart beats like a hammer, my arms wound around you tight
Ah, stars fell on Alabama last night

  • Lovely version. Her peculiar pronunciation in spots is pleasant, not distracting. Love the fields of blue cotton - so that's how they make blue jeans, I guess.

  • of the 60, 70, 80, 90, 2000 ...

Now she has 69 years, and still sings so wonderful only. Compared to none.

She sings all kinds of music, making each song, her song.

Far from all, but always close to the hearts of those who listen.

Mina is to love and go on.

  • haha. the stars felt on alabama last night. I'm from and live in birmingham, i think this italian lady does the state justice. peace

  • she is an italian singer from the 60"s. remember STUDIO UNO. if you are very young perhaps you can remember this wonderful lady

  • her english accent is very good.and the song lovely

  • I live in alabama and i am NOT ignorant.

  • Usually italian people says that Mina is not very good at singing in English for her bad pronountiation. I think that when she was very young (like when she sung this masterpiece, at the age of 21) she was really careful in studying the right way to pronounce the english words, and the result is fantastic.

  • I think she said "felt" the second time.

  • I love this song, the jazzier the better. I'm from alabama and it IS a beautiful place, despite its political backwardness and ignorance. And what a wonderful song this is.

  • did she say stars "felt" on alabama?
