I almost want to cry for you.
It would not surprise my at all if Public schools in most industrialized countries were better than the average US private school.
Your public system is being sabotaged. If you have a Porsche and someone slashes the tires and puts sugar in the tank are you going to say 'Porsches are bad because my 911 doesnt work'?
Many people in industrialized countries have UHC for ALL no Questions Asked that is better than your medicare

Cry for me if you want. You'll be crying for yourself in the end. You think our public system is akin to a porsche that's been sabatoged? People just hate kids and want to do a bad job of teaching them to make somebody look bad? No. They are trying and failing because the system does not work.

'They are trying and failing because the system does not work.'
Its working in other countries so to me this indicate that its not the system that does work but the US system thats not working. Although there might be other factors since the US culture and social safety net is not the same, there appears to be more social problems in the US if you look at the unparalelled number of people in prisons(over 2 million)

tell me what gov't programs are working elsewhere. do you mean public schools? universal health care? what do you mean?

As to your comment about public schools in other countries, that may be true. I doubt it. However, here in the U.S. the private system outperforms the public by far. We need to get more kids in the system that is performing the best.
