In this video, I finish working on "I Will Follow"... My bass player is out of town and I don't have anyone to fill in. So, instead of going without the bass guitar, i record all the tracks in my office in Ableton Live. Since I am using Ableton to run my click tracks for in-ear monitors, I use output 1 (left) to go to the front of house and output 2 (right) to go only to the ears. Each channel can be sent to one or the other OR both. I do this same process when I want to add layers of keys or other instruments. The tracks can be as simple or complex as you want them to be.
