  • stuck in st francis bay again lol** 2 weeks apart, and the community is amazing, everyone helping eachother

  • @Aliciangel4God Hi Alici, I uploaded footage of the temp bridge collapse at: Youtube, St Francis Bay Bridge Collapse Again

  • Thanks for your comments veebeesa. I shot all the footage on a Canon 7D with a 24-105 mm lens with a Zacuto eye piece. The community all pulled together in an amazing way. A stranded taxi driver on the St Francis side ferried people from the bride to the village while boat owners ferried people across the river at a different point. There was a tremendous sense of community and cooperation. Very heart-warming to be part of the greater St Francis community during a time of crisis.

  • This is not a political forum. I uploaded this video for friends and interested locals. It is not the appropriate place for people with different agendas to air their views. I have left all comments up until now because I believe that everyone has a right to his or her own opinion, however, I personally prefer bridge building to destructive dialogue so have decided to remove any comments that tear down rather than build up. I apologise if this offends you in any way. Linda Collison

  • I uploaded a music video version of this clip to youtube at: Youtube, St Francis Bay, Community Spirit. I also added some footage of day two.

  • Brilliant footage, you must have spent hours out there. You really captured the true stories as they unfolded. Well done to all the wonderful people who helped on that day! Amazing stuff!

Two questions: Was this just one camera's footage? What camera is it filmed on?

  • Wow! That was incredible to see. And south Africans are magic people! So nice to see people helping people (and pets). Thanks for posting.
