The words are from the English Translation of The Oxford Book of Carols sung to the tune of "Good King Wenceslas"; sort of; I took liberties. Today was the first day here in my home town in Upstate NY that I felt Spring was really here to stay. So, I took my video camera outside and filmed. Just one patch of snow left on the front lawn.
I loved he first line of the song; "Spring has now unwrapped the flowers.."

  • I am sorry to say I am not familiar with Ms. Heatherdale's version. I saw the words to the Flower Carol in a book and underneath them it said they were sung to the tune of Good King Wenceslas, which I obviously took some liberties with. Thank you again for your kind comments. Peace in the New Year!!!

  • You are most welcome!! This is one of my favorite Spring/Pentecost tide hymns!

Are you familiar with Marian Heatherdale's version of this carol?

  • Thanks Johann!

  • I love the words to this!! I'm used to a sprightlier tune, but quite a lovely piece!

  • Thank you!

  • How beautiful! Thanks so much for posting.
