  • @Drogmir "The only reason Williams is more famous is because he lucked out with more widely recognized and famous movies than Hermann did."

And could have something to do with the fact that Williams is still with us, while Herrmann died some 30 years ago. Herrmann's movies were famous for their time; North by Northwest was a blockbuster. Not to mention that the Psycho murder music has been ripped off more often than Williams' Jaws theme.

  • Awesome!!

  • So true in so many ways.

  • Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ET, Harry Potter, etc.

Hermann is famous in the sort of. Oh! I didn't know it was him.

    While Williams is everywhere.

Please there's no need to get personal and insult my intelligence just because I have a different opinion on what qualifies as a "famous" movie

  • Personally I always thought Bernard Hermann's pieces as music were better than John William's. The only reason Williams is more famous is because he lucked out with more widely recognized and famous movies than Hermann did.

  • Why don't people read the descriptions before posting?

  • Yeah, I was thinking that too! lol
