@TheReviewSpace The GAMES themselves, not the physical product, but the actual games, would not exist in the first place if the system didn't sell well, because there would be no profit in making a game for a dead system - hence, nothing to emulate. It's thanks to paying customers that such a large catalog of games were made. It's not hard to understand. I'm not saying emulating is wrong, I'm calling you out for implying people who buy games are suckers.

Seems like every game commercial development team from he 80s-90s went like this;
"Should we primarily show game footage to get people excited about the game?"
"Naw, just show a bunch of 'hip' kids at weird angles making faces. Should be good enough."
