I wish we had the overlap or yellow before green in the US. So much better for getting traffic moving and preventing congestion.

This sequence was once used in Soviet Russia and seems to me to be the best one, except that both sides should go red for a few seconds.

Actually UK Sequence is
Red, Red + Amber, Green, Amber, Red
There is no Green + Amber

i like this Signal Very much...i agree the sequence is much better,it gives you a "Be Ready to Go"signal in a way.

This is a much more logical sequence than what is currently used in the US.

the intersection of Superior Ave and Forrest Hills in East Cleveland a long time ago had a signal like this one in the middle. later, a green left turn arrow was added so traffic coming westbound off Forest Hills could turn south on Superior Ave. Its now gone, replaced by a modern job of unknown manufacture.
