Frankly, I think that we treated the Germans extraordinarily well after the Second World War, making an unprecedented effort to rebuild the country upon which their own actions had brought ruin and death and despite the hitherto unprecedented criminality and inhumanity of their conduct.

yes it was basically the allies that started ww2 since they proposed the Versailles treaty which oppressed a european economic superpower, germany. That started a huge economic depression and whenever there is a economic depression extremism spreads which lets nutters like hitler get into power
