@5100area not to dissagre just give another thought,he grew up in the south like he said and went north after high school.I know that wikipedia isn't the most credible source but it says he was embarrsed of his accent when he first went north.I think he's trying to control himself so it doesn't come out and that's why he stutters

his mind is super active and thats why it seems hard for him to get his words out, but its not because he's dumb or anything. it's a lot going on in his brain and he's just flushing them all out at once. when he's in the booth that's where you see his words tapped and flowing through a spout, because he has a clear idea of what he's trying to get out.
