Well to be fair, all cards in a set can't be super amazing or the power creep would get worse and worse. They realized they needed a reality check when Shards of Alara came out and just about all the cards in it were at least moderately useful. They always have useless cards in prebuilt decks though. I wish they wouldn't do that honestly.
