Um ... no, I have been on Medicaid and it was very easy to get on it. Thankfully I make enough money to support myself. I am okay now, great job and benefits. Now I really wish the law didn't pass... cause if you had gotten HMO, we could have had the insurance companies decide if you are profitable or not (hint: if you're not profitable, the insurance company would let you die). Now law requires that the Insurance companies not do that, drats! We could have gotten rid of morons like yourself.

I'm complaining because this segment is absolute shit - you can't make arguments based on anecdotal evidence, and the news has a special responsibility to put these kinds of stories in context. How common are stories like these in the UK? How common are they in the US under private insurance? What are the numbers?

Ideological attacks against the government won't help you much either. Unless you're opposed to caring for veterans and the elderly. Free-loaders!
