  • selling my 06 18hp Tohatsu with s/s prop -$1700 ..vgc

  • Sold .......

  • TOHATSU WILL RELEASE its 4 cylinder TLDI 135hp that will compete against V6 Mercury Opti & Evinrude 135hp

The engine hs been in testing in Japan for long time as with all tldi tohatsu outboards they tested for years under extreme comerciel conditions before ever being released for public sale.

what do you expect from a manufacturer that has been around since 1922

  • didnt know evirude made a 135 hp i think tohatsu dont offer a goo d hp range so this is good news i think its stupid that tohatsu make a i9.8 and 9.9 whats the point 0.1 hp diffence good outboard though

  • @mariner10rpr one is heaps lighter than the other.

  • Tohatsu's system provides smaller droplets (as small as 10 microns) of fuel for a more thorough and complete burn in the combustion chamber.

  • chrysler outboards are the best

  • Can be hard to find a mech and get work done or find parts is the only thing here in alaska! It is an awesome engine though! I am starting to see a lot more of them here in Alaska too! Hopefully some more local shops wills have mechs that know the engines!

  • @MrDontbesostupid not arguing but.....there aren't too many mechanics around that know anything about them. So servicing can be hard to find kinda. I have heard them and been in ocean boats with them, and yes they do sound and handle great. But where I live in Alaska, it it a no go on finding a mechanic to help you out with anything.

  • 2 STROKE FOR EVER!

  • @Motorchevytoyota

     hahahaha

  • Tohatsu worked from my experience. But they only have up to 115hp. But it is the same system as Mercury's Optimax.

  • Don't waste your time with that jap scap just buy an Evinrude and get the best .

  • @Motorchevytoyota DAMN RIGHT!

  • I've beat the crap out of my evinrude. Never have had a problem with it.
