ENR7s Edinburgh Sevens Rugby - 2011 Northern Tournament Champions - Boroughmuir RFC

"Scotland's largest seven-a-side tournament" as promoted by Edinburgh Northern RFC saw Boroughmuir crowned champions for the first time in the 57 year history of this annual 7s event sponsored by Blyth+Blyth. Some great tries, strong tackles and accurate kicking in windy conditions made for a thoroughly entertaining day for the many players and fans who also enjoyed some good food and a few drinks in the afternoon sun and Spring-time surroundings of Inverleith Park. This 'rugby highlights' video shows all 27 tries scored by Boroughmuir in their victories over Shetland, Heriots, Inverleith and Stewarts Melville to emerge as deserved winners of the tournament - 'Muir' even managed to round-off the scoring against their semi-final opponents, and local favourites, Inverleith, with a superb drop-goal from within metres of the corner flag, much to the exuberant delight of Boroughmuir supporters who had astutely positioned themselves both opposite the goal line and in close proximity to the beer tent!
