High Hopes
Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begin
Along the long road and on down the causeway

This is, in my opinion, the saddest song ever made. Moreover, it's the last song on the album "Division Bell". No one really understanding the song can stay without shedding one or two manly tears in the dephts of the night.

The only song that beats this is Comfortably Numb. Floyd will never be touched in terms of the number of songs that truly stand out among the crowd. Most bands have about 4 or 5 if lucky; Floyd has about 50 or more.
