DALLAS - Season 9 (1985-86) Cliffhanger (Pam Wakes Up)

This is the final minutes to the DALLAS Season 9 Cliffhanger "Blast From The Past" (airdate: May 16, 1986)


After a plot to set up shipping maven Angelica Nero for trying to kill them is seen through, JR and Jack are threatened with their lives. JR does call Jack to check on him, but he claims he is fine, until an explosion goes off. Jack races outside his home to see that his car has been blown up with his sister Jamie inside. JR races over to Jack's home, just as Sue Ellen comes to Ewing Oil to check on JR. As she runs into his office, the bomb that Nero has set up goes off, blowing up JR's office with Sue Ellen inside.


Just then, Pam wakes up from a nightmare and hears the shower running in her bathroom. When she goes to open the shower door, she gets the shock of her life when Bobby Ewing turns around, smiles at her, and says "Good morning"

I'm sure glad Angelica Nero was part of a dream. I couldn't stand much more of her wacky outfits!

Explaining that entire following season was all a dream was THE worst plot twist of all time for any TV series. For on Knots Landing, Bobby remained dead. The other cliffhangers were awesome. I would like Jack to have dealt with Jamie's death and Sue Ellen's life to hang in the balance--and Pam to have dreamt for only a moment that Bobby was alive...only to find out later he had amnesia and did not die but rather was kidnapped by hospital employees or something..

If their was no "DREAM" I take it the cliffhanger would have been whether Sue Ellen would have survived. The freeze frame would have been the explosion, not Bobby
