  • Ciao Maestro Marshall !

I would like to know.. What sort of plectre/mediator do you use for Traditional Italian songs ? Not like Bluegrass style ?

    Thanks a lot,

    Fabio

  • bien bien...gracias

  • Looks like he has his Gilchrist plugged in.

  • bravissimo, anzi, straordinario. what a great tone and technique and feeling!

and what a huge metronome on your right! :)

  • Evan...you make me want to give up playing Mandolin. Anyone wants a free mandolin? LOL!

  • Excellent. Just how this music should be done - not with inflated hollywood orchestras selling ice cream. Great technique and thought from the player - wonderful.

  • Wonderfull! How many hands do you have?

  • wow i just ordered my first mandolin, and although I wanted to play the blues more this has definitely inspired me lots and lots. I've been playing guitar for a decade and I'm really looking forward to trying these duo-style mandolin pieces!

Do you have any you'd recommend as a beginner piece? I'm comfortable picking that fast on guitars

  • Thank you for replying Mr. Marshall! I really enjoy your playing. I came across you when a mandolinist friend of mine gave me one of your CD's. I was blown away by what I heard..and to think that you played it with no over-dubbing, but just on one mandolin. You did things I didn't know were even possible or achievable. You have raised the standard by which we can only dream of reaching some day. Thank you for sharing your God-given talent with all of the world. We are better off because of it.
