@Charlz9mm Okay, makes sense, thanks for the reply.

Bought one about 4 months ago like this knife a lot. It will rust, so keep a light coat of vaseline (petroleum jelly).

'Is that a double edged combat knife, or are you just happy to see me?'

Good Review! That looks like a quality knife. I have never heard of Tops I will check them out!

This looks identical to the Jack Pyke 3 inch Skinning knife - just it is single edged, but could perhaps be made double edged. It is however a low low grade version, at under £15 sterling.

@Charlz9mm but dont you think that should be considered by tops to use metal that is imune to rust and corrission for $200 plus. I see what you saying but why carry extra grease, oil, frying pan , butter for your knife specially when you buying a survival knife seems like your knife having a harder time to survive than you and she depending on you more than you depending on her.
Hey, Charlz9mm, nicer eview of a very interesting knife. But a question occurred to me as I was watching you handle it: With the top of the blade sharpened and not much of a thumb ramp, wouldn't it be easy for your thumb to slide forward during a thrusting motion and split it wide open on the upper blade. I know there is what looks like heavy-duty jimping on the top, but still....
Just curious on your take. Thanks for any thoughts you have.

@tr4022 The short handle hits solid into the palm of your hand so you cannot slide forward on the blade.

My friend can you advise me on top's knives. I'm digging there blades alot from tactical to survival series what I wanted to know that high carbon alloy they use in there survival blades and in most of there knives how well that metal is against corrision and rust if you are in mosist wet amazon enviroment and how strong the blade is if it is punished back to back to cut trees and split logs can the sharpeness survive along with a blade being one piece with the handle.

@ikonik69 High carbon will rust but keeps a superior edge. If you are in a wet jungle keep the blade well oiled and all will be fine. A little rust will not affect sharpness. Carry oil or grease and you will be happy with high carbon.
