Mini 40 RC Trimaran with capsizes.mpg

17th April 2011. Nightmare Mk VIII sailing at Jackadder Lake in Perth. Number 1 rig. First half of the video shows the boat using symmetrical foils (form a rudder mould). The second part of the film shows the boat using asymmetrical foils, and the boat is using these when it foils.

Hello - where can I see the French and other European Mini 40s on the internet?

-There is no cap and it is constantly slipping on a float (normal without winglets!)

"That does not solve the PB charging downwind in smacking

Thanks for your comments. Yes I am aware that a wing tip will help to stop side slip, but I think the side slip is good as it helps to reduce the heeling moment and hence reduces the chances of a capsize. I used to have wing tips but have cut them off

You should try some winglet on your foils if you don't want to slide....
