When I went to Laforet I mixed up little japanese with much english. That went pretty fine. If you talk clearly and use simple language, they'll usually understand you. If they don't get a word you say try to pronounce it like the Japanese would, e.g. say "burando" instead of "brand"

Usually they only speak Japanese, sometimes a little English but it is not common.

I went to this store when I went to Japan!!! My friend bought these cool shoes from there! Its really cool too, cause i remember the girl with the blonde hair was there!!
