Rick Barry is a retired American professional basketball player. He is considered by many veteran basketball observers to be the greatest pure small forward of all time as a result of his very precise outside shot, uncanny court vision, knowledge and execution of team defense principles, tenacious and ofttimes demanding will to win, and unorthodox but accurate underhanded "granny shot" free throw shooting.[1] Barry is one of few elite players who have altered their games without losing effectiveness; he broke into the professional ranks as a rebounder and all-purpose points machine before he morphed into a primary ball distributor and lethal perimeter threat.
powerhouse - the Beatles would have loved Barry's style. While the Beatles from the North of England (and too old) were not Mods they admired Mod fashion which Barry here embodies.
Corny, this video, yes! Accurate your comments? No.

Not much style? Think again. Sports culture was a lot more buttoned-down than the music scene, and Barry represented a sea change -- an outspoken, businesslike jock who was as much show biz as sports biz. He might not have worn a lot of silly mod fashions, but his determination to play for teams of his choosing represented a major countercultural threat to NBA owners.

Poor audio but a really wocka-wocka look at a young and cocky Rick Barry. The man has 5 (yes, five) basketball playing sons (youngest is now 15). Despite his flaws (3 marriages, living life thru his boys) he's always been my favorite NBA player. Thanks for the exclusive video.
