He is not being offensive towards Christianity in any way. He is offending Christmas in a non-biblical way, Santa Claus etc. In no point of the song did he mention any religious aspect. Some people celebrate Christmas even though they are not Christians, so your claim is invalid and stupid. I hate Christmas, because of the shopping and Christmas trees does that mean I hate Jesus and Christianity? No. So don't get so butthurt over a humorous song.

Go fuck yourself. Christmas is a time for my family, being together and heaving nice meals. Virtually non of us believe. Most people I know are atheists, they all celebrate Christmas with their families as well. Do we recite verses from a book that has been changed countless of times over the past two thousand years (at least) to suit the political needs of those in power? No.

After the Christmas I just had, I SO NEEDED THIS! GOD BLESS ERIC IDLE! I've had a sister-n-law in my house for FOUR FUCKING WEEKS! She has overstayed her welcome and put my marriage to her sister on the rocks! I will NEVER have a Merry Christmas as long as my mother-in-law is living because it's a guarantee this sister-in-law will visit! Next year is different.
