One of the biggest obstacles to child safety is in the family driveway and most people use it every day. Drivers of family vehicles cause accidents that kill or injure more than 50 children each week -- and almost 50* children lost their lives this year in what are called backover and frontover accidents where kids are run over in their own driveways or a local store's parking lot.

However, the new Audiovox Do-It-Yourself Wireless Color Monitor and Back-Up Camera System, Model ACA250, can help bring the blind zone into view. The blind zone is the area behind a vehicle that you can't see when backing up.

Here's the best news of all - virtually anyone can install the ACA250! Audiovox created this wireless monitor and back-up camera system to be simple to install.

Watch this video to see how you can install the ACA250 in a vehicle. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. And for more information on how to keep kids save around vehicles, please visit our friends at KIDS AND CARS at kidsandcars.org.

  • I only have experiance with winplus units. Where is the antennae on the camera? Winplus units have an extra antennae wire that can be a pain to figure out where to place.

  • There are no extra antennas to install. Check out the full video or visit us at mobile(dot)audiovox(dot)com - look at Safety and Convenience > Back Up Systems

  • thank you for the video. What about the display picture, while moving is it very slow (because of wireless connection)?

  • Hi there - monitor on the ACA250 shows what is behind the vehicle in real time. On this video, the display picture is moving slow because the items shown in the picture are moving slowly. Let us know if you have any questions.

  • why is it called wireless??? it have a lot of leads!

  • It's wireless because you don't need to connect the monitor on your dashboard to the camera, which is installed on the license plate at the back of the vehicle.

  • Apart from using the scotch locks, what other stuffs I can replace them with to splice the wires together? Coz I can't find those anywhere in Australia.

  • @lmvanecek that's terrible. you should sue them.

  • I returned an item to 4UCam and never received a refund. I've called them and emailed them many times with no response. Unreliable company.
