  • Weasel words as one would expect from anyone treading the torturous path between Islam and human rights.. Homosexuality, women's rights, minority rights.. some things that Islam can never come to terms with...

  • move beyond these petty diferences, and education is the key. Knowledge and balance is necessary. Lets work hard for Allahs sake and for eachothers sake. We are one ummah, one brotherhood and sisterhood, we have the best way of life in the world, and we have the hard mission of accepting the right and forbidding the wrong. Allahu Akbar

-19 Year old american Muslim in college.

  • @misshazzyuk against their natural inclination as any one else might struggle against drinking alcohol. Do we still respect their ideas, thoughts, and other good aspects? Yes! It is ignorant not to. If they openly propogate their behavior we would condemn them just as if a muslim was openly propogating drinking or drugs. This is the KEY point. WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO CALL ANYONE KAFIR except if they propogate the trasgression against Allah as allowable. Muslims we need to open our minds. We need to

  • @misshazzyuk I disagree. Ever since I was young I couldnt not imagine that such an act could even occur. When I found out that real people committ sodomy I was disgusted at the thought. I find the act abhorrant, degrading and destructive to society. BUT IT IS A HUMAN CHARACTERISTIC. Just like lying, stealing drinking and fornicating, it is a HARAM act. This does not mean that a person who commits these acts does not believe in a creator and in the teachings of the prophet. homos are to struggle

  • I DONT FEEL LIKE TARIQ RAMADAN SAID ANYTHING WRONG. HE TALKING ABOUT HUMAN DIGNITY. YOU MIGHT NOT AGREE WITH WHAT THEY DO BUT YOU SHOULD RESPECT THEIR HUMANITY. THAT'S ISLAM FOR YOU. WE LOVE PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT AND WE ARE NOT THE JUDGE, GOD JUDGES. OF COURSE WE TRY TO PROHIBIT WHAT'S HARAM AND ALLOW THE HALAL BUT SOMETIMES AT THE END IT GOES TO ALLAH(SWT).

  • @nerdy86 SORRY BUT WAHABBISM IS NOT WRONG NECESSARY. ISLAM IS UNCHANGED AND IT CAN NOT CHANGE IT'S CANNONS. WHAT'S FORBIDDEN IS FORBIDDEN AND WHAT'S ALLOWED IS ALLOWED. IT'S FORBIDDEN SINCE GOD GAVE THAT RULE. NO SCHOLAR CAN CHANGE THAT AND NO SCHOLAR IS ABLE TO CHANGE IT. AS FAR AS HOMOSEXUALITY IT IS FORBIDDEN BUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLAH(SWT) IS ANOTHER MATTER. AND IF YOU DO WHAT YOU DO IT IS HIM WHO WILL JUDGE.

  • Brother Tariq, you know very well that NO Sunni scholar from Egypt will agree with you-Homosexuality is totally forbidden, abhorent and should be broadly condemned.

  • @misshazzyuk but the whole point is to help them change their ways

  • Well said Doctor Ramadan.

  • We don't need to speak to Islam on a western context, but rather, a clear, rational one, which has no borders. Too many times, this western context, is an opening for the very sicknesses which are ruining the world, such as homosexuality. The western world, in its "context" us dying and taking all who partake of her morals, right with her.
