The heart needs to be whole in service to God. "Thou shalt love the lord thy God with all thy heart mind and strength." This is the picture that was being presented when God disallowed disabled people to serve in the temple.

  • I'm not convinced. Isn't it that God has always been concerned more on what is inside rather than outside? I can accept that the practices He imposed in Leviticus were to promote "holiness" to the Israelites, but banning deformed people is an attack on the person himself. "You are not worthy!". God is self-righteous and cruel. No wonder He is desperate for love.

  • i like the way u broke this down... its basically like a parable

  • So god creates someone "Unfinished" Then tells them basically to piss off. We don't want you in our house of worship.

    Sounds unreasonable to me.
