Many years after this I still feel very sad. Whether it was murder or not, this was a great lost to the country. Many years after this lost, we still need a charismatic thero who can appeal to Lankans, as Soma thero did. Lankans (not only Buddhists) were attracted to Soma thero. Soma thero knew how to approach people which was a great gift.

soma thera showed the way but i guess we'v got to face the fact that he's gone now...the thing is that buddhists forget their mission n always need sum one to push them through out..i wish v could all get together n save our religion coz even after beeing abroad for 4 yrs n having cum across many religions, i've never seen any thing like buddhism!! keep up the gud work kiyaravt!!!

You are correct Erangadias. It seems that Soma Thera had a sense of something that can happen to him, but he did not avoid it. He faced it like a Bodhisathwa.

We still do not have intelligent, smart investigators to investigate what is happening to our nation. Every leader is crazily stupid in Sri Lanka. But, lets keep the hope about a supper intelligent and nation friendly leader in future.
