Jon Corzine promised to change Trenton. He said hed deliver property tax relief, reform the budget, and clean up state government. He even promised to replace the failed practice of tax, borrow and spend with a new strategy of invest, grow and prosper.

But we know what Jon Corzine says and what he does are entirely different.

New Jersey has the highest property taxes in the nation and Jon Corzine made things even worse by eliminating property tax rebates for middle class homeowners.

Despite twice raising taxes by more than $1 billion, Corzines latest budget still leaves New Jersey with a projected $10 billion deficit next year.

And as for cleaning up state government44 people were just arrested in a corruption sweep that ensnared some of Corzines closest allies. A member of Jon Corzines cabinet even had his house raided by FBI agents.

Before and after raising taxes by billions, Jon Corzine wasted tax dollars by overpaying state contractors. And despite Corzines so-called Wall Street wizardry, New Jersey now has the third most debt of any state in the nation and its credit rating is negative. Corzine even pushed the state to invest in risky hedge funds. Retirees have lost billions.

With all of Jon Corzines taxes, wasteful spending, and massive debt, its no wonder that unemployment is at a record high.
