  • sounds like a b bender on his tele....

  • Nope, no B-bender there. Just a monstrously strong left hand and a lot of "behind-the-nut" bending.

  • Your hand doesn't have to be that strong, it just kinda hurts your fingers. =)

  • Well put. It's more about pain tolerance than actual strength when pinching behind the nut.

  • Jim C. is the sickest and most twisted. This is beautiful music and truly virtuosic.

  • Wow... a blues with some changes...I like it!!!

  • While I agree that there is Roy Buchanan in his playing, I think Jim has a unique style/take on emotional expression through guitar. No one has hit it on the head, in regard to telecaster emotion, since Roy, like Campilongo does. I am a enormously huge fan of Roy, and I feel that Jim Can get to the same places and feels that Roy does, but in his own unique way. Rock on Jim! You're a genius.

  • This guy is able to get sounds from the guitar strap! Amazing!

  • speechless

  • @ryanjurek very true. Especially if you've got 0.11 strings on. Man, I tell you, that can really hurt.

  • He said in a Guitar Player interview published this month that the '59 is just about worn out. His new signature Tele is out now.
