What is to Live For; Writers Lounge; 2009; San Gabriel High School

Eye dogs detest me
And old ladies look at me
Boys snick at me
And girls look and stare
I go chase cop cars
And dogs bark me on
Telling me to go voom voom
As goldfishes floats on
And clouds floods the sky
I jump over frogs and fences
And chase the unnecessary things of life
then fade into a bright light
that is surrounded by darkness
going and burning
place to place
i see a different place
and a different light
somewhere something
that is my own
but not my home
an island off a coast
where rubber duckies drift on by
and grass is supported by salt
and apple trees bloom in a state of red
i drift back and fort
like a sleepless night
and random numbers fill my head
like a computer over taken by madness
i truly believe in reality
but i'm not so sure if i want to live in it
but one day i will
and one day i will die from it
but my mind will always wonder
why should i live?
is it because i have to?
to be normal
to be like everyone else
to stay sane
what is sane?
why not be happy
to do what you please
of course you never get what you want
you never get what you want
you have to work hard
you have to face the truth
you have to do what your told because its right
well what is right?
i know its a direction
what?, do i really have to go that way?
why not turn left
and jump and burn everything i see
but no
that is left, go right
right will take you somewhere
but only bring confusion in the end
i bet the crazy people have the life
and the sane have to think
