Eartha Kitt and British Electropop trio Bronski Beat interviewed in 1989 by BBC Breakfast Time about the single Cha Cha Heels. Also includes the brief video showing from BBC pop music programme Top of the Pops.
Eartha talks about the song and her background , while Jonathon Hillyer from Bronski Beat talks about her fan appeal.
Excellant camp moment in the park with Eartha out jogging , just happens to "bump" (literally!!) into Bronski Beat........ Larry Steinbachek and Steve Bronski seem to be enjoying the moment.... Jonathon Hillyer looks completley embarrassed by it all....!!!!!

@TrevEggs Very true.. Divine was well... Divine... gone too soon.. i think it was back in 88' when he passed... he was on his way to shoot some scenes on the American tv show - Married with Children

With all due respect regarding BB and Eartha Kitt, but I never found her voice that appealing. She fits perfect into this song but at the same time, her voice literally devours the whole song...

I am convinced that This track was originally meant for Divine but she died before the track was recorded. The lyrics are painfully and blatantly a tribute to the John Water's movie Female Trouble. Eartha Kitt did a great Job but I am betting that Divine would have been better at it.

It's a shame the person this song was originaly written for died ... DIVINE!! Imagine how amazing that would have been!!
