When the site is officially closed on saturdays and sundays, the space taking processes can start.
This saturday we experimented in chipping our green waste before hauling it away. Time will tell if it's better or worse than hauling it unprocessed.
So far the truck driver was reminded that chipped greens are heavier than fullsize - he usually have no problems with the max legal total of 48 tonnes for a truck with trailer. This time the weight blacked. That means he was over 60 tonnes...
He did unload a bit before he hit the road, though.

  • The truck is a Scania in the 4-series - I don't remember if it's a 124.
