what remembers ! i was 13 years old in 1983 and i was at spa 24 h race. The year before, i saw the death of Gilles Villeneuve at Zolder...
But, so, what noice of the bmw 635 csi, rover 3500 TWR, and Alfetta giulera. The Volvo racing team was not Eggenberger ? I thought it was them... But wee can see 'RAS sport' on the front of the cars, it's a belgian team fron this period;.. they also made the Ford Cosworth escort GR A in wolrd rally with Delecour and Thiry.

The Holdens won the "Kings Cup" which was for the most laps of one make of car. The Rovers went out with diff problems. It vas zi Germans dat won.

Not just Grice agro towards Brock you'll notice in most interviews Larry Perkins allways treated Brock with a degree of contempt, despite co driving and engineering his cars in the 80's. Great footage tho.

Grice was a great racer on his day, one of the best Australia has produced in Touring Cars. But I think a lot of his hostility towards Brock and the HDT came from jealousy really. The Roadways/Chickadee team never got along with the HDT and HDT always seemed to get better results. Gricey always seemed to resent that I think.
