@serialkissersband to put the apple logo you can install Ubuntu Tweak. When it's installed go to GNOME-settings, scroll down and there you have it.
Furthermore, to complete the apple look you can install gnome global menu. This will put the menu of the windows (file, edit, view, ...) in the top panel. After you've installed this, just right click top panel > add to panel > gnome global menu.
Final tip: best dock = docky
