Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Matthew 5:10-11

How can anyone believe that the catholic church is holy. They'd still do this stuff if they could. The pope is gross!

every time i read English bible,i'm so thankful to William Tyndale and others who sacrificed their lives for the common people like me and others.Roman catholic authority burned the copies of the any bibles translated into any European languages,also they burned translators too.tyndales last prayer was'lord,open the king of Englands eyes'.surely,God listened to tyndales last prayer,so Henry the viii break away from catholic church and gave permission to translated bible into English.

Is it true that the Belgians ( or Netherlands as Belgium didn't exist then) executed him on Henry VIII's behalf, and if so, would they have done it via legalities on the Emperor's jurisdiction? Thanks.

THE REAL ENGLISH BIBLE, THE TRUE BIBLE, THE LIVING BIBLE. WANT LIES & 1/2 TRUTHS GET A KJV, BUT YOU WANT THE REAL THING, GET A LIVING BIBLE BY WILLIAM TYNDALE. Some think the King James Version was by Tyndale but nothing could be farther from the truth, Tyndale was for the benefit of the People whereas the KJV was for the benefit of the King & The Church of England, read them side by side & you will see a big difference. The Folks that brought you the King James Version (KJV) Killed W Tyndale.

William Tyndale was a great man. I'm only 11 but I know he did a great thing, and sadly it cost him his life to do it. It was pretty unfair, bur it shows that through people, Christ can shine through and we have the New Testament translated for us today. I'm glad he did that and I'm sure God is, too :)

@JRRR19 Amen!
To 28804ecorrell --don't get angry. If you know who the father of the English Bible is then you should reveal it to us. Would it be Jerome? No. He wrote in Latin. Was it Erasmus? No he wrote in greek. Luther? German. Let's see. Who could it be? We need your scholarship and great wisdom 28804ecorrell.
